Apparently, after 28 months of negotiations, the nurses’ union felt they were making progress?
That’s the only thing that could explain the union’s “outrage” when this hospital declared that they were at a stalemate.
Baystate Franklin Medical Center declared an impasse in its 28 months of negotiations with nurses and announced Wednesday it will immediately put into effect changes it has sought through contract talks.
The move outraged the nurses’ union, which said it will file a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board. Nurses will meet to discuss their options, including the possibility of a strike.
