The UAW’s contract with GM has hit a snag—skilled maintenance has rejected it—now the UAW has three options:
The majority of United Auto Union Workers at General Motors have voted in favor of a new four year contract, but that wasn’t enough to finalize a deal.
Nearly 60 percent of skilled trades workers, which include electricians and welders, voted against the deal.
The union could ratify the deal without their support, go back to the bargaining table with GM, or call a strike.
More information will become availible later this week.
