Another Chink In The Obamacare Armor

Affordable Healthcare for All?

tcu-meditationNews out of TCU appears to indicate that there is another chink in the Obamacare armor.
Despite all the hype from President Obama and Democrat members of Congress when they promised “affordable health care for all” after they passed the Affordable Care Act, there has been very little evidence the support their claims that it was the right thing to do for the American people. Quite the contrary, in fact, it would seem – as costs for medical care continue to rise – all we have seen in practice is that these cost increases are just being passed along to the end user of the system: US.
The latest victims? Full-time employees at TCU.

“Last year, employee contributions rose 12 percent. Whiteley attributed that increase to new advances in technology and new medications arising in the medical field.
Whitely told staff assembly members at their meeting earlier this month that 2017 benefits enrollment for full-time faculty and staff members opens Oct. 24.”

As median incomes continue to face strong headwinds while the growth rate of costs for goods and services continue to outpace them, there’s not much”affordable” to be found anywhere on the consumer side of the Affordable Care Act.
