Over the last 20 years, the number of FLSA (aka “wage and hour”) lawsuits filed with the U.S. Department of Labor against companies has risen 456%.

As a result of this increase, the amount of money employers have shelled out for violations has also risen quite significantly as well.
Now, thanks to an interactive map published by TSheets.com, a tracking and scheduling software firm, users can see the successful FLSA prosecutions by the U.S. Department Of Labor since 1985 broken down by industry and geographic location.
It should be noted that the DOL data only includes successful prosecutions shown by TSheets.com’s data. It doesn’t include data from private prosecutions, cases that were settled out of court, or cases in which the outcome favored the employer.
