SEPTA hopes to have court end strike by Tuesday, union alleges.
A mere two days before Tuesday’s general election, the Philadelphia transit strike that could jeopardize Hillary Clinton’s chances at securing Pennsylvania and, therefore, the presidency, is still going on.
Transport Workers Union local president Willie Brown Saturday night accused SEPTA of relying on the courts to end the strike, which began Tuesday, instead of bargaining on pensions and other issues.
Meanwhile, city businesses are feeling the effects of the strike as business is down for Center City businesses in some cases, and employees are unable to make it to work in other cases.
